Paterson Simons recently conducted technical JCB training for Ghana Ports & Harbours Authority (GPHA), in Uttoxeter. The training focused on the JCB model TLT35D 2WD and was provided to both GPHA and Pasico Ghana, a subsidiary of Paterson Simons.
In 2019, GPHA purchased 22 JCB TLT35D Teletruks, and this year they have expanded their fleet with an additional 27 units. These JCB Teletruks are scheduled to arrive on-site in July/August 2023 and will immediately be put into operation.
Teletruks are small versatile telehandlers working in the same form factor as industrial forklifts and are small enough to enter a standard ISO container.
The Teletruk, particularly in ports, has gained significant popularity in West Africa. To cater to the region’s needs, our highly skilled forklift and Teletruk engineers, who have undergone factory training, are strategically located throughout Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo.
We also continue to deliver the 4×4 version to mining customers across the region.
They are also available for assignments in other West African countries such as Liberia and Sierra Leone.
