The Grove GRT8100 rough-terrain crane was awarded “Crane of the Year” at an awards ceremony in Dubai by Construction Machinery Middle East (CMME), a leading regional publication for the heavy machinery sector in the Middle East.
13,000 people voted across 20 categories to select the best and most popular machinery brands in the region.
After accepting the award on behalf of the company, the Manitowoc MERA team travelled to the home of the GRT8100 in Niella Tanaro in Italy to share the trophy with the factory team.
Andrew Youssef, General Manager overseeing Manitowoc’s operations across the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS region, said:
“We’re thrilled the Grove GRT8100 was selected for the first time to win such a prestigious award in the Middle East, and we wanted to share the success with our fantastic production team at the factory. Every day, the team engineers and manufactures the best rough-terrain cranes. This award is a testament to them for championing the Middle East and Africa region with world-class products. Without the Niella team, this award would not be possible, and feedback and recognition from the industry only inspires us to do even more. Our colleagues in Italy were just as excited as we were to receive this award.”
