Parts Co-ordinator
Working with the Parts team to ensure an efficient service to customers by coordinating all enquiries for spare parts received either directly from customers, deciphering or machine malfunction to assess parts required or via Engineers working with clients.
This role is based in our office in Brighton and after an initial training period the potential to work from home some days during the week is possible.
The role includes but is not limited to:
• Building relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturers alongside Company Engineers
• Preparing detailed parts quotations for customers utilising all resources available including online resources, parts books, drawings, supplier pricing information
• Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions.
• Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
• Updating customers and answering queries regarding prices, lead times, technical issues etc
• Receiving confirmation of order from customer subsequently placing order with suppliers ensuring appropriate documentation is completed accurately and within timelines required by customer
• Liaising daily with subsidiaries in Ghana and Nigeria regarding spare part stock and requirements
Full training will be provided on products, systems and processes at Paterson Simons
Educational Qualifications
English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
Technical
Computer literate with strong demonstrable knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
Personal Attributes
Ability to prioritise own workload in a busy pressured environment.
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Highly organised
Strong attention to detail with a good level of numeracy
