Paterson Simons has successfully commissioned two Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHCs) For International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in Onne, Nigeria.
These new Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor cranes for ICTSI Onne are expertly designed to deliver cost-effective and eco-efficient cargo handling, thanks to their electric drive concept. Known for their versatility, mobile harbor cranes are well-suited to handling general cargo, containers, and bulk materials, offering high flexibility combined with relatively low operating costs.
The Onne Multipurpose Terminal handles a diverse range of cargo types, including containerised goods, oil and gas, and other general cargo. As the first terminal of call within the Onne Port Complex, which is strategically located in the Oil and Gas Free Zone, it serves as a key gateway to Africa’s largest oil production region and Nigeria’s primary hinterland markets.
Paterson Simons provides sales, service, inspections, training, and spare parts support for Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes throughout the West African region, with engineering teams currently based in West Africa to support these operations.
Ashraf Khalil, Head of Engineering at Onne Multipurpose Terminal said the following about the commissioning: ‘I would like to share my feedback with Paterson team performance in commissioning of new cranes which was very professional, cooperative and efficient. All notes that I raised are either fixed on time or recorded in the punch list. They did a very good job.’
Our thanks to all teams involved in this successful commissioning.
