Paterson Simons Group recently hosted comprehensive training sessions at our Takoradi Training Centre, tailored specifically for the Newmont Ahafo North community members as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The various training courses included: Mobile Crane, Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, Rigger and Telehandler training, and encompassed both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
This initiative serves as a prime example of how mining communities can directly benefit from the expertise and resources provided by mining companies.
These initiatives not only equip individuals with valuable skills but also contribute to the overall development and empowerment of the community.
By providing access to training opportunities like this, Newmont Ghana Gold is fostering economic growth, promoting safety standards, developing gender equality and enhancing the employability of community members, thereby creating a more sustainable and resilient local workforce.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 48 dedicated men and women who actively participated in the training.
We express our gratitude to the proficient trainers, Egan Benson and Sydney Tagoe, from Pasico Ghana, (a subsidiary of Paterson Simons), whose expertise and dedication ensured the success of the training program!
